Cape Town - Two boys kidnapped in Lansdowne, Cape Town, have been found, Western Cape police said on Wednesday.

“They have been found but we are still gathering information on the circumstances,” said Colonel Tembinkosi Kinana.

He could not immediately provide any details and it was unknown if the boys were hurt.

More details would be released shortly, he said.

The boys - Clinton Swart, 10, and Samuel Muller, 11 - were playing in front of Lansdowne Fisheries at 3.30pm on Tuesday when two men in a car stopped and called them.

At the time, police said the men ordered the children to get into the car.

The men drove off towards Athlone, and were seen covering their faces to conceal their identities.
