Johannesburg - A man burnt to death when his shack was set alight in Lenasia South on Thursday, Gauteng police said.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said the shack burnt in the early hours of Thursday.

“It seems the door was blocked from outside to prevent him... escaping before the shack was burnt,” he said.

A case of murder and arson was opened. No arrests had yet been made.
