Johannesburg - A Bulgarian national believed to be Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir's accountant and right-hand man appeared in the Alexandra Magistrate's Court in Johannesburg on Wednesday, police said.

Mike Borislov Grigorov would remain in custody until Friday, spokesman Lt-Gen Solomon Makgale said.

He faces charges of conspiracy to murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

He was expected back in court with Krejcir and seven others on Friday. They are all accused of conspiring to kill Colonel Nkosana

“Killer” Ximba and forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan.

Grigorov was arrested at the Benoni police station around 6.30pm on Monday when he reported there as part of his bail conditions.

He was currently out on bail of R5 000 and R25 000 after being arrested on two counts of fraud unrelated to Monday's arrest.

“Police believe that the accountant was Krejcir's right-hand man, who knew the ins and outs and participated in all of Krejcir's alleged criminal activities,” Makgale said on Monday.
