Johannesburg - A well-known actor has been arrested in Honeydew for apparently assaulting his girlfriend, Johannesburg police said on Sunday.
Lt-Col Katlego Mogale said the actor allegedly slapped his girlfriend, who is in her late twenties, during an argument.
The actor was arrested on Saturday night.
“Police were then called to the scene where the suspect was arrested,” said Mogale.
The man cannot be named until he appears in court.
The 45-year-old is expected to appear at the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Monday where he will face assault charges. - Sapa
