Johannesburg - A 41-year-old man was found murdered in his motor spares shop in Benoni, on the East Rand, Gauteng police said on Tuesday.

“He went to his shop on Sunday night after the alarm there went off,” Captain Mack Mngomezulu said.

“His son found him dead in the shop after the man's wife asked the son to go check because the husband was not answering his cellphone.”

The son found the front door of the Midas shop open. His father, Zafrullah Bham, was lying in the back of the shop with his hands tied and a bullet wound in the upper body.

“The shop till was open with coins lying around. A case of murder has been opened. No one has been arrested yet.”
