North West - A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Tshidilamolomo near Mahikeng, North West police said on Sunday.
“It is alleged that the suspect went to the victim's place and forced her to accompany him to his place in Mabula village,” said Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko.
On arrival he allegedly threatened her with a knife and raped her. The girl managed to escape and informed the police about the incident.
The man was arrested and was expected to appear in the Mahikeng Magistrate's Court on Monday.
