Man nabbed with 320 packets of tik

Cape Town - A 38-year-old man has been arrested after Mitchell’s Plain police recovered 320 straw packets of tik with an estimated value of R9 000.

Police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said on Monday at about 2:35pm Mitchell’s Plain SAPS members were busy executing patrols when they received information that drugs were being sold at a house in Aintree Street, Beacon Valley.

“The members followed up on the received information and they searched the suspected house. Members recovered 320 straw packets of tik with an estimated value of R9 000 inside the house.

“A 38-year-old-man was arrested is expected to appear on Wednesday in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of drugs.”
