Johannesburg - A man was shot in the head outside a guard hut in Crown Mines, south of Johannesburg on Friday, paramedics said.
“Paramedics arrived on scene and found the male patient lying on the floor next to a guard hut. A small pool of blood had formed around the patient,” said ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring.
“On assessment, paramedics discovered that the male patient had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was declared dead on the scene.”
The shooting happened on Main Reef and Treu Road.
No further information on the incident was available.
Authorities were on the scene to investigate.
