Butterworth - A man was stabbed to death during a fight at a tavern in Khayelitsha informal settlement, Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.
Captain Jackson Manatha said the incident occurred on Monday.
He said a man fought with Masixole Sibango, 23, and both of them had knives.
“The motive for the murder is still not clear. The deceased was stabbed multiple times on his upper body,” Manatha.
He said a 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and would appear in the Butterworth Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
