Johannesburg - A former stripper and her partner behaved as if nothing had happened in the wake of the alleged murder of Dunstan Blom, a court heard on Thursday.

Accused Maruschka Robinson and Jean Pierre Malan are accused of killing Dunstan Blom and leaving his body in the boot of his car at Montecasino in 2013.

The pair were shown on surveillance footage, presented by the assistant surveillance manager of Montecasino, Clinton Wayne Vigne, behaving as though nothing had taken place.

The High Court, sitting in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg, were shown footage of the pair arriving at Montecasino at 00:05 on September 19, 2013, in a white Volvo vehicle at the VIP section of the parking area, and then later using Blom’s card inside the casino.

Footage showed Robinson and Malan being affectionate towards each other.

The two pleaded not guilty to murder and aggravating robbery on Wednesday.

However, Robinson pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud and to being present when the body was taken and dropped off at Montecasino.

Malan pleaded guilty to nine counts of fraud, attempting to defeat the ends of justice as well as being in possession of identity documents that didn’t belong to him.

The pair admitted to using Blom’s cards, purchasing goods worth close to R10 000 and withdrawing R27 500 from his account.

The trial continues.
