Mutilated body found in E Cape

Grahamstown - Police have called on members of the public to help identify the body of a female victim who was found on Sunday in the Eastern Cape.

“We urgently need assistance in establishing the identity of the victim, to aid in the investigation,” said provincial spokesperson Captain Mali Govender.

On Sunday morning, herdsmen in the Joza area of Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, discovered the body of the woman who had been severely mutilated.

A post-morten will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.

The victim was dressed in a blue tracksuit top and black ankle socks. Her hair was braided.
