Rustenburg - A man was arrested for possession of drug with an estimated street value of R80 000 in Brits, North West police said on Wednesday.
Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said the 25-year-old Nigerian man was arrested on Tuesday at Damdoryn.
“According to the information the police received a tip-off about a person who was in possession of drugs in a flea market. Hartebeespoortdam Crime Prevention unit immediately responded and upon arrival they arrested the suspect in possession of various drugs, including heroin, tik and cat to the estimated value of R80 000 “
The man was expected to appear in the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
