Durban - The investigation into security upgrades at President Jacob Zuma's private home at Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal, is continuing, SA Police Service head of detectives Lt-Gen Vinesh Moonoo said on Thursday.
“The process is still ongoing,” he told reporters in Johannesburg. “An investigation of that nature takes a long time.” He would not elaborate.
Moonoo, who investigated paralympian Oscar Pistorius for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, is heading the investigation into the upgrades.
On Monday, the police announced that corruption charges laid against Zuma by opposition parties in respect of the R246 million security upgrades would be centralised and investigated nationally.
