Pretoria - A police officer was shot and killed in Mooiplaats, Pretoria, on Friday, Gauteng police said.
Two officers patrolling near the Mooiplaats offramp approached a blue Audi A4 and were shot at, Lieutenant Kay Makhubela said.
“One of the officers was shot three times and died on the spot,” he said.
The car drove off. Makhubela could not confirm whether the officers fired any shots. He urged any witnesses to come forward with information.
The car had a Gauteng registration number.
