Grahamstown – Christoper Panayiotou, the Port Elizabeth man accused of murdering his school teacher wife, will have to wait another week to find out whether he has been granted bail or not.

Panayiotou’s defence advocate Mike Hellens on Monday led lengthy arguments in support of why he should be granted bail in the Grahamstown High Court. Panayatiou was appealing a decision in June by a Port Elizabeth magistrate to deny him bail.

Hellens went head to head with senior State advocate Marius Stander when Panayiotou’s bail appeal was heard before Judge Glen Goosen.

After listening to the arguments presented before him, Goosen said he would give judgment on the matter on July 28.
