Secunda - A 19-year-old pupil was arrested in Embalenhle near Secunda on Wednesday for allegedly stabbing and killing a classmate, Mpumalanga police said.
“It is alleged that the two learners were involved in a physical fight when the suspect apparently ran to his parental home and returned with a knife and stabbed the other learner,” Colonel Leonard Hlathi said.
The injured pupil, who was also 19, was rushed to the clinic where he later died.
“The suspect was traced and arrested on the same day of the incident,” said Hlathi.
The pupil was due to appear in the Evander Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
