Nelspruit - A 19-year-old pupil appeared in the Evander Magistrate's Court on Thursday for allegedly stabbing and killing a classmate, Mpumalanga police said.
The case against the youth was postponed to Friday for legal representation, Colonel Leonard Hlathi said.
He was arrested in Embalenhle near Secunda on Wednesday.
“It is alleged that the two learners were involved in a physical fight when the suspect apparently ran to his parental home and returned with a knife and stabbed the other learner,” Hlathi said at the time.
The injured pupil, who was also 19, was rushed to the clinic where he later died.
“The suspect was traced and arrested on the same day of the incident,” said Hlathi.
