Pampierstad - A man was arrested for allegedly raping a women at her home in Pampierstad, Northern Cape police said on Sunday.
The 21-year-old man was arrested for the rape of the 57-year-old woman on Saturday morning, when he was found asleep in her shack, said Lieutenant Sergio Kock.
He kicked open the door of the shack, ordered the woman to undress herself and then raped her several times.
“The suspect then fell asleep and this gave the victim a chance to escape to her neighbour's house for help.”
He would appear in the Pampierstad Magistrate's Court soon.
