Mbombela - The bail application of four men accused of stealing 112 pieces of rhino horn worth over R160 million was postponed in the Nelspruit Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Gideon Mtshali, 51, Leonard Sizwe Malatjie, 34, Velly William Zwane, 43, and Selby George Khoza, 39, would be back in court on August 11, a Sapa correspondent reported.

Magistrate Christa du Plessis said the case was being postponed because Khoza's lawyer asked to read transcripts of the court proceedings relating to the previous bail applications of Malatjie and Mtshali.

The group faces charges of theft and housebreaking relating to the pieces of rhino horn stolen from the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency's offices in Mbombela.

Mtshali and Malatjie pleaded not guilty to the charges while the other two have not been asked to plead.
