Johannesburg - A pack of Grandpa tablets led to a big headache for a 32-year-old soapie actress.
The woman, whose name is known to The Star, was arrested and held at Linden police station on Wednesday for allegedly shoplifting the headache tablets from the Checkers Hyper at the Cresta Shopping Centre on Wednesday.
Gauteng police spokeswoman Sergeant Obakeng Mabaso said the woman was arrested at 3.30pm, but the police wouldn’t be able to identify her before she appeared in court.
At the time of publication on Wednesday night, Mabaso said the suspect was in police custody. It was reported that a relative of hers was trying to ensure that she didn’t spend the night behind bars.
Mabaso said the woman would appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday on a shoplifting charge.
