Brits - Two women and a man, accused of burning a schoolgirl to death in Klipgat near Letlhabile, appeared briefly in the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

The case against Gugulethu “Sharon” Thwala, 23, Koketso Moyo, 22, and Victor Pilane, 28 was postponed to October 22 for investigation.

The State alleges that the three together with Cynthia Mosopi kidnapped Boitumelo Dlamini, 19, from the Eletsa High School in Letlhabile near Brits on June 18. Mosopi accused her of dating her former boyfriend Tokelo Makelepho.

Dlamini was allegedly doused with petrol and set alight after they took her to secure place in Klipgat.

Mosopi is still in hospital treated for burn wounds.

Thwala and Moyo were released on R3 000 bail each and ordered to report every day between 6am and 6pm at a police station near to their homes. Pilane was released on a R2 000 bail.
