KwaZulu-Natal - A 60-year-old woman was raped and killed in KwaDambuza, Pietermaritzburg, according to a report on Friday.
The woman's naked body was discovered by residents near a sewage pipe on Wednesday, The Witness reported.
Her face was severely beaten.
Her partner idenitied the body by the arm and leg.
The woman was last seen on Wednesday when she left her home to go to a clinic.
This was the third rape involving elderly woman in the province in the past month, according to the newspaper.
Another woman, 82, was raped in her house in Swayimane on Saturday and no arrests had yet been made.
A week earlier, a 94-year-old woman was raped in her home in the same area. A man has been arrested.
