Kimberley - Three men appeared in the Galeshewe Magistrate's Court on Monday for allegedly killing a man and injuring another, Northern Cape police said.

The case against Thato Pasman, 20, Siyanda Mxoli, 23, and Randy Hoogstander, 22, was postponed to September 22 for a formal bail application, said Lieutenant Sergio Kock.

They were arrested for allegedly killing Dichaba Mabija, 22, in Galeshewe, Kimberley, on Saturday morning, after witnesses identified them.

“The murder weapon was also confiscated from one of the men,” said Kock.

The men approached and started to harass Mabija and his friend while they were walking home from a local tavern on Friday night.

“Mabija was fatally stabbed in his neck while his friend was stabbed in his hand,” said Kock.

He died at the scene.
