Ermelo - Three men have been arrested for stabbing another man to death in Ermelo, Mpumalanga police said on Friday.

Three Pakistan nationals, aged between 21 and 35, were accused of stabbing and killing a Bangladeshi man, Tariq Rashid Mohamed, 31, said Brigadier Selvy Mohlala.

They were arrested on Thursday after police received a complaint of fighting.

“When police arrived at the scene, they were informed that the suspects had been engaged in a fight with the victim who was already rushed to hospital as he was stabbed in the process,” said Mohlala.

Mohamed, who was stabbed several times in his chest, head and back, was certified dead on arrival at the hospital.

The men would appear in the Ermelo Magistrate's Court on Monday.
