Cape Town - At around 5pm on Thursday afternoon tons of black smoke filled Muizenberg station as three coaches were set alight. Firefighters on scene could not douse the flames due to the high voltage of the overhead cables. The suspected cause of the fire is arson.
Crowds of onlookers with children swarmed around the parking area near Muizenberg while firefighters and traffic officials warned them to get out of the black smoke to prevent a health hazard.
