Rustenburg - Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of North West businessman Wandile Bozwana, Gauteng police said on Thursday.

“Two suspects were arrested yesterday (Wednesday) and will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Friday),” said spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini. He said more arrests were imminent.

Bozwana was gunned down in what was suspected to be a hit in Garsfontein east of Pretoria on October 2. Gunman pumped bullets into the car on the passenger side where, Bozwana was seated. He was shot nine times and later succumbed to his wounds in hospital.

Bozwana and a colleague, Mpho Baloyi, were travelling on the N1 north highway from Johannesburg when gunmen in a silver grey BMW M3 allegedly pulled up next to their car near the Garsfontein off-ramp and opened fire on the branded Renault Clio.

About 12 bullets hit the car. Baloyi who was driving the Clio was shot twice, but managed to drive to a nearby car dealership to seek help.
