Two held for drugs in Postmasburg

Postmasburg – Two men have been arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs, during a sting operation in Postmasburg, Northern Cape police said on Friday.

Postmasburg detectives followed up on information on Thursday about suspicious activities at the “Train Station Shacks”, SA Police Service spokesman Lieutenant Sergio Kock said in a statement.

Police raided the shack and found drugs hidden underneath a mattress in one of the rooms. Two foreign nationals, aged 26 and 27, were arrested on the premises.

Tik and mandrax with a street value of about R10 000 was confiscated. The suspects were expected to appear in the Postmasburg Magistrate’s Court soon, Kock said.
