Johannesburg - Two men who allegedly assaulted and robbed City of Johannesburg mayoral committee member Ross Greeff have been arrested in Naledi, Soweto, Johannesburg metro police said on Friday.
“A security company spotted a suspicious red Daewoo and took down the number plate and gave it to SAPS and JMPD officers, who went to an address in Naledi, Soweto, and arrested two male suspects,” Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.
During their arrest on Thursday the men were found in possession of suspected stolen jewellery and clothing. They would appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court next week on charges of armed robbery and assault.
The robbery and assault took place at Greeff's Roodepoort home in July. She is mayoral committee member for development planning and urban management.
