Johannesburg - A woman was raped on Sunday, allegedly by three men in two separate incidents, Gauteng police said on Monday.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said a man allegedly picked up the woman, 24, at a tavern in Moletsane, Soweto, and took her to an open veld where he raped her.

He later dropped her near a petrol station and left.

Two other men allegedly offered to help her and drove around with her, eventually driving to Klerksdorp in North West, where they allegedly raped her.

They took her back to Soweto and dropped her at the Maponya mall before they fled.

She reported the incident to the police on Monday. No arrest had been made. - Sapa
