Johannesburg - Gauteng Premier David Makhura on Tuesday placed the head of the provincial Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Department Namhla Siqaza on precautionary suspension following allegations of improper conduct.
“The Premier views the allegations made against Siqaza seriously and has decided to institute a disciplinary enquiry to address the allegations,” the Gauteng Provincial Government said in a statement.
The head of the department of e-Government, Boy Ngobeni, will act as head of the department of sport, arts, culture and recreation.
No further details on the serious allegations levelled against Siqaza were immediately available.
