Durban - Some KwaZulu-Natal MPLs have been busy moonlighting to augment their salaries, with the register of members’ interests showing that the ANC’s Vusi Dube moonlights as a pastor at Ethekwini Community Church.
His colleague, Makhosini Nkosi, a lawyer, is a consultant at KM Chetty attorneys.
Nkosi also disclosed that consultancy work at Hlela Attorneys was “to be confirmed”, and that his law firm was “to be closed within two months”.
The DA’s Imraan Keeka disclosed that he is a consultant on a “need basis” to Wing Herbal, and is a 50 percent partner in the Holistic Health Institute of Southern Africa.
The IFP’s Farouk Motala is a 100 percent shareholder in VIP Security and Yuszav property development, while the ANC’s Muntukayise Ntuli is a non-executive director at Fidelity Security and a plant hire firm.
Health MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo listed his directorship at Autsumatsu, while Economic Development MEC Michael Mabuyakhuu is a 100 percent shareholder in two dormant companies.
Education MEC Peggy Nkonyeni listed 9 dormant companies, but said three were in process of deregistration.
Speaker Lydia Johnson and the EFF’s Vusi Khoza listed in the register directorship in non-trading and deregistered companies respectively.
The ANC’s Sipho Gcabashe has shares in companies involved in building construction and colleague Important Mkhize has shares in a dormant training and development company.
Inkosi Zibuse Mlaba is a shareholder in the Abaqulusi Football Club and EFF provincial chairman Vikizitha Mlotshwa is a director in Abafana baseMawosi Music Production.
Alpha Shelembe, ANC MPL, is a director in the Ekuphumleni Nazareth Baptist Church.
