Pretoria - National Freedom Party leaders expressed satisfaction on Thursday with the preliminary national and provincial election results.

“We are generally happy. The numbers show we are represented in all nine provinces,” Gauteng provincial executive council member Nontuthuzelo Mniki said.

She said the party was not too concerned by the numbers on the board as they were contesting the election for the first time.

“Whatever the voters gave us, we appreciate it because it is the first time we are contesting the national election,” she said.

Mniki said the 2019 elections would see the party gain momentum. She promised South Africans clean governance wherever they held office.
