Johannesburg - The dogs of rich people in South Africa have got medical aid. These were the words of EFF leader Julius Malema during his speech at a UK university.
“In South Africa pets were loved more than people. The rich have got extremely more than the poor, we've got a situation where the rich love animals more than the people".
He said domestic workers, university workers, farm workers, petrol attendants and security guards did not have the medical aid pets of rich people had.
Malema was giving a speech to the Oxford Union at the Debating Chamber at the university. During his Wednesday night speech he also referred to Mandela leaving the struggle to the people, and saying that the struggle was not over.
On Friday night Malema was expected to give a lecture at the Royal Institute of International Affairs to discuss the role of opposition parties in South Africa.
The EFF leader is in the UK as part of a tour where he is expected to meet with the Pan African People's movement in Tottenham, North London followed by a visit to the African Enterprise Awards at the London Capital Club on Saturday.
