Public servants pay commission grows

Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma has appointed two additional members to a commission looking into the pay and working conditions of public servants, the presidency announced on Thursday.

“President Jacob Zuma has appointed Dr Vincent Maphai and Ms Elizabeth Maepa as additional members of the Commission of Inquiry into the Remuneration and Conditions of Service in the Public Service and Public Entities...” it said in a statement.

Zuma appointed the commission in August 2013, following his announcement of its establishment earlier that year.

The commission is chaired by former chief justice Sandile Ngcobo.
