Johannesburg - ANCYL members arrived in buses at Hugh Wyndam park in Dunkeld, Johannesburg, for a march to the Mail & Guardian on Thursday.

One of the five buses carried several school pupils in uniform who were given ANC Youth League T-shirts.

Other people were given SA Students' Congress shirts as police officers kept watch at the park.

After the pupils got off the bus they went to play in the park. A group of men waved ANC flags with President Jacob Zuma's face on them and sang struggle songs.

The league's Gauteng convenor Alex Mashilo said they would go to the publication's offices to demand it report fair, objective, balanced, and accurate news.

“According to our observation, prior the elections the publication was providing space for attacks against the ANC.” - Sapa
