Pretoria - Minister in the Presidency Susan Shabangu will serve as acting president while President Jacob Zuma and Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa are both abroad this week, the Presidency on Monday.

Shabangu would oversee presidential duties while Zuma was on an official visit to Germany, and Ramaphosa on one to Iran.

On his return, Zuma is scheduled to make a stopover visit to Angola to attend celebrations commemorating 40 years of independence.

From there, Zuma would proceed to Namibia to officiate at the opening of the Southern Africa Customs Union (Sacu), as the organisation's chairperson.
