On 10 April Independent Newspapers and eNCA jointly hosted the first in a series of five pre-election debates at Wits University.

The panel this week comprised Gwedi Mantashi v Wilmot James v Mampele Rampele. The topic for the debate was "How far have we come in 20 years?" and was moderated by Jeremy Maggs. The debates are free to the public, though booking through Wits is required, and are held on Thursdays at 8pm.
