Johannesburg -

Economic Freedom Fighters attending the party's one year anniversary celebrations at Thokoza Park in Soweto were dazzled on Saturday as a plane did tricks in the air.

The crowd cheered, clapped and ululated as the pilot performed stunts. The green and white aircraft flew very low for all to see.

EFF supporters were still arriving to attend the anniversary celebration which was expected to continue well into the night.

The hundreds that were already at the park were entertained with music.

The aroma of braai meat filled the air as jubilant supporters waited for the official programme to start.

Others were sitting on camp chairs indulging themselves with a variety of whiskies, brandy and beers.

People attending the event were given an EFF T-shirt, CD and a tray of meat consisting of boerewors, chicken and a steak as they entered the venue.

EFF leader Julius Malema is expected to give a keynote address later in the day. - Sapa
