Bloemfontein - A woman died when she was hit by a car on Nelson Mandela Drive in Bloemfontein on Tuesday, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said the woman, who was in her 60s, died at the scene.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The cause of the collision was not yet known.
