Johannesburg - For the past month, a teenager with a history of mental illness has been missing, and with nowhere else to turn, his family are asking for the public’s help to find him.

Kagiso Morake, 18, initially vanished on August 25 from his brother’s home in Fourways, and despite a case opened with the Douglasdale police, no one has been able to find him.

With his family slowly losing hope of ever finding the teenager, Kagiso’s brother Karabo contacted The Star last week.

“We went looking for him everywhere, asked friends and family members and opened a missing person case with Douglasdale police station. At the time of his disappearance he was at my older brother’s place in Fourways/Dainfern. He was still new to the area so he didn’t have any friends around there. He has a mental problem, so if he is found, please don’t fight him,” said Karabo.

Kagiso’s mother Lindi said the teen had been battling depression and mental illness for years.

Anyone who has seen Kagiso or wishes to assist in finding him should contact Karabo on 082 599 3123 or Lindi on 071 417 9994.
