Johannesburg - Eighty-four pupils were treated for smoke inhalation at Barnato Park High School in Berea following a fire at the school on Wednesday afternoon, Johannesburg emergency services said.
It was believed the fire started in the school's kitchen, spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said.
“There were no other injuries. As we speak the fire has been stopped and we are treating the students.”
Emergency services were contacted around noon, Mulaudzi said.
