Johannesburg - A pedestrian believed to be in his 20s was killed when a car knocked him over on the N14 William Nicol off-ramp near Diepsloot on Thursday, paramedics said.

The man's body was found about 40m from the car, ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said. The driver was not injured.

Police were investigating the accident.
