Johannesburg - Two pedestrians were hit by an 18-wheeler truck when they were trying to cross the N12 near the Atlas offramp in Johannesburg on Friday evening.
“There was nothing that paramedics could do... they were both declared dead on the scene before the incident was handed over to the Ekurhuleni Metro Police department,” ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.
The deceased, who were both in their twenties, were found on the highway with multiple injuries.
