Durban – A 12-year-old girl died in a shack fire in Durban’s Inanda township on Friday, paramedics said.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services spokesman Robert McKenzie said the fire broke out in an informal settlement in the Bester area of Inanda.
He said eThekwini firefighters were on the scene fighting the blaze.
Further details were not immediately available and it was not known how many dwellings had been affected.
