Durban - A 22-year old man drowned at a Durban beach, paramedics said on Thursday.
Garrith Jamieson, spokesman for Rescue Care, said the man drowned at Durban’s New Beach on Wednesday evening.
Jamieson said the circumstances surrounding the drowning were unclear. Paramedics arrived at the beach to find the man unresponsive and life guards in attendance.
The man was declared dead at the scene.
Police were investigating the incident.
