Durban - Three people were injured in a structural collapse at Mount Moria, north of Durban.

Two men were injured and one seriously injured whilst working on underground piping at a construction site on Tuesday afternoon.

According to IPSS spokesperson Paul Herbst the men were underground when the structure collapsed on top of them. Two men were dug out by hand and the third was critically entrapped. All three men were rescued with the help of IPSS, Netcare 911, Police Search and rescue and eThekwini fire department.

It is not yet known what caused the collapse.
