Johannesburg - Two people were killed and 72 injured when a bus overturned in Shongweni near Durban on Saturday, paramedics said.
“All the injured people were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals for further medical care,” Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said.
Earlier, paramedics said 60 people had been injured, however the number had risen to 72.
Steinmann said the injuries ranged from moderate to serious.
Police would investigate the cause of the accident.
