South Africa has lost a champion of the people with the death of former president Nelson Mandela, the Minority Front said on Friday.

“His unconditional love, humility, and community work were his greatest assets which he shared with everyone from all spheres of life,” said MF deputy leader Patrick Pillay.

“He was a true leader, a father and an inspiration to everyone in our nation and the world.”

Pillay described Mandela as an “invincible pillar” and “the champion of all champions”.

The MF conveyed its condolences to Mandela's family and friends.
