Rustenburg – Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema received a warm welcome in Marikana West near Rustenburg as he gathered support for the party’s second anniversary rally.
A crowd of over 300 people chanted “Juju, Juju” when he stepped out of his car, while others whistled and pushed each other for a chance to take a cellphone picture of their “commander-in-chief”.
Marshalls formed a guard of honour as he walked into a huge white tent and quickly closed the gap behind him to prevent supporters from moving closer to him.
Malema was encouring supporters to come out in the numbers for the EFF’s second anniversary rally to be held at the Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg on Saturday.
Malema was accompanied by his spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, general secretary Godrich Gardee, and MP Primrose Sonti.
