Cape Town - Presidential spokesman Harold Maloka will return to his post as deputy director general for communications at the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) after a three-month secondment to the presidency.
The presidency said Bongani Majola, its director of media liaison, would serve as acting spokesman from Saturday until a permanent appointment is made.
“We thank Mr Maloka for his contribution during his time as acting spokesperson,” the presidency said.
Maloka said it was always understood that his deployment as President Jacob Zuma’s spokesman would be a temporary measure.
